Learn to Jive the easy way 😇
“Down On Your Uppers” Line dance.
Nice handy line dance that will suit pretty fast music. Starts with a rock step, two heals, step out with an in-out-in on both sides, little twist with a right heal and hitch up, step and tap on right and left, step behind step, right first and turn anti-clockwise when doing the left and start all over 😊

Bit tricky this one. You’ll need to be Jiving to work it all together but if not, do one move at a time. Everything I show is for everyone :-) We start off here with a reverse left hand figure of 8. Here we have a great Jive combination with 5 very usable moves. This line-dance is doing the rounds at the dances and is a big favourite with all the stampers! Jiving Country with Damien & Katie is where we saw it so big thanks to them for this. When the music gets too fast for your slosh’s and electric slides ect, don’t panic! Switch to the country Charleston and it will calm it right down. These Jive steps will slow down all the head spinning and free up the lads to do all their fancy stuff. Learn it slowly, making sure not to travel back on your back steps and to turn in on your first step up the dance slot/track.

The R ‘n’ R waltz is a slow waltz line dance. It’s very popular and once you know the general direction to go, you can add the waltz step later.

There are two different ways of returning a girl from Shuffles & Waist turns in the Jive. Swing out & return, and high lead. It’s not a a north west south or east thing. Well, I have just seen this, I,87 years old it is not the slosh I know or everyone I know, but I suspect it an authentic Scottish version,, I have been a Ballroom dancer & other kinds since 1946, You two as a couple with this version are very good.
